The KDS all-metal, low-volume variable-area flow meter, also known as a rotameter, is designed for \ufb02ow measurement of suitable liquids or gases. It provides indication of the current \ufb02ow rate in volume or mass per unit of time. The rotameter consists of a conical stainless steel measuring tube and a vertically movable \ufb02oat. The valve for setting the \ufb02ow rate is built-in (only for KDS-K\/C). The media \ufb02ows from bottom to top through the metering tube of the \ufb02ow meter. The \ufb02oat is lifted until an annular gap between the measuring cone and the \ufb02oat is produced which corresponds to the \ufb02ow. The height of the \ufb02oat resulting from the \ufb02ow rate is transmitted by the permanent magnet in the \ufb02oat through the magnetic tracking system, rotating the pointer axis of the analog indicator unit.<\/p>\n
